Possenhofen Castle

A museum in honor of Duchess Elisabeth in Bavaria, later Empress of Austria. She spent most of her childhood in Possenhofen, a place to which she felt a strong connection throughout her life.

The museum is located in the Possenhofen S-Bahn train station.

Possenhofen Castle (privately owned, unfortunately not open to the public) was the childhood home of Empress Elisabeth. For this reason, there is also a museum dedicated to Empress Elisabeth in Possenhofen.
